Abstract: The preservation of digital archival records requires human intervention, necessarilymediated by policies, strategies and implementation of computerized systems. Among the systems, itis observed that the implementation of a digital repository according to the Open ArchivalInformation System (OAIS) model is the principle to ensure authenticity, preservation and long-termaccess. Thus, this study reflects on the mandatory responsibilities that a digital repository inaccordance with OAIS should follow. It aims to provide a reflection on the implementation of atrustworthy digital repository for the preservation of digital archival records, and it is configured asan opinion article, characterized by the non-systematic review of previously published materials. Theconvergence between the mandatory responsibilities of the OAIS model and the archival scienceenables the implementation of a trustworthy digital archival repository, sufficient to preserve records, maintain authenticity and ensure long-term access.

ARTIGO - Open Archival Information System: análise do modelo funcional no contexto da Arquivística
4 DETAILED MODELS .................................................................................................. 4-1
4.1 FUNCTIONAL MODEL ........................................................................................ 4-1
Abstract. Objective: analyze the functional entities of the Open Archival Information System(OAIS), and point out convergences with Archival science, with a view to implementing aTrustworthy Digital Archival Repository (TDAR). Methodology: review article is nosystematic/narrative, based on a bibliographic survey of previously published materials, consisting of books, technical standards, and scientific articles retrieved by the GoogleScholar tool and by the Information Science Database (Brazil). Results: the functionalmodel proposed by OAIS allows receiving, managing, and disseminating digital archivalrecords. Its information flows are registered and guarantee the maintenance ofauthenticity in the face of actions carried out within the scope of the TDAR, such asmigrations and additions of information necessary for preservation. This functional modeladdresses essential issues such as negotiating purchases, transfers, and collections withproducers and custodians, in addition to managing access demands of consumers. Conclusions: the OAIS functional model makes it possible to properly receive therecords, add necessary descriptive information, securely store records, managepreservation policies and facilitate dissemination to the designated community. Moreover, the OAIS model can be incorporated into the archives system, and be the basis forimplementing the TDAR, thus, protecting the custody and guaranteeing continuousaccess to authentic digital records in the long term.

4.2.1 LOGICAL MODEL FOR ARCHIVAL INFORMATION
Abstract: the constant production of digital records within the archives gave rise to a process oftheoretical-practical revision. As consequence, in addition to guarding analog records, the archivesalso passed, to guard digital records. However, its preservation is endowed with technologicalcomplexities and archival specificities, and to address such needs, we have discussed theimplementation of policies, strategies and digital repositories in accordance with the Open ArchivalInformation System (OAIS) model. For the purposes of this study, is presented the logical model ofarchived information, proposed by the OAIS, with the aim of identifying and pointing outconvergences with Archival science. The methodology consists of a bibliographical survey composedof books, technical publications and scientific articles, characterized as an article of no systematicreview. As a result, we observed convergences between Archival science and the logical model ofarchived information present in OAIS in relation to organicity, provenance, custody and access.Among the main notation, the relevance of the logical model of archived information, which providesreliability to the archived records, is emphasized, and thus reinforces the possibility of reliable digitalarchival repositories in accordance with OAIS.

4.2.2 LOGICAL MODEL OF INFORMATION IN AN OPEN ARCHIVAL
INFORMATION SYSTEM (OAIS)
Abstract. The objective of this study is to analyze the logical information model proposed by the Open Archival Information System (OAIS), and to identify its convergences with Archival science. Check the structure ofthe information packet to evaluate its ability to preserve authentic long-term digital archival records. Themethodology used is part of a bibliographical survey of previously published materials. The datacollected are qualitatively analyzed and the discussion follows the deductive logic. Thus, there is anarticle of no systematic review, which provides a reflection on the theme and highlights the authors'point of view. In the conclusions, it is observed that the archival information package includes issuespertinent to Archival science, such as guarantee of authenticity, preservation of provenance, organicity, and custody history. Therefore, it is reaffirmed the need to implement reliable digital archivalrepositories in accordance with OAIS.

4.3.2 DATA TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE INGEST FUNCTIONAL AREA
4.3.3 DATA TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE ARCHIVAL STORAGE AND DATA MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONAL AREAS
4.3.4 DATA FLOWS AND TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE ACCESS FUNCTIONAL AREA
Abstract: This study synthesizes knowledge about the transformations of the information packageof the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) model, within the scope of a Chain of Custody forDigital Archives (CCDA). Thus, the importance of the file system being composed of management, preservation and access platforms is discussed. The methodology is based on a survey of previouslypublished materials, including: books, technical publications and articles from scientific journals. The analysis of the collected data consists of a triangulation between Archival Science, the OAISmodel and the CCDA. The discussion uses deductive logics, which results in an unsystematic reviewarticle. Finally, it is argued that establishing a CCDA will allow the transformations of the OAISinformation package to be carried out by a reliable custodian capable of ensuring the maintenance ofthe authenticity and the preservation of digital archival records in the long term.

5 PRESERVATION PERSPECTIVES ........................................................................... 5-1
5.1 DIGITAL MIGRATION ........................................................................................ 5-2
5.2 PRESERVATION OF ACCESS AND USE SERVICES .................................... 5-10
Abstract. This study makes a reflection on the implementation of migration strategies within the digital repositories inaccordance with the model Open Archival Information System - OAIS. In this way, it describes the procedures toguarantee the maintenance of authenticity and the continuous access to the information in long-term. Themethodology consists on bibliographical survey of previously published materials, composed of books andscientific articles retrieved by the Google Scholar research tool. The OAIS model is used as prism of discussion,so that migration strategies represent a guiding category of this study. The analysis of collected data is of qualitativenature and the discussion follows the deductive logic, consequently, an article of not systematic review is obtained. It is noted that the repository following the OAIS is a trusted environment for executing migration strategies andregistering them through metadata to maintain authenticity and ensure that the designated community hascontinuous access to information in the long-term. Therefore, it clarifies the relationship between OAIS andmigration strategies, and thus aims to broaden the discussion around digital repositories. This reflection providestheoretical support to the researchers newly initiated in subject and demonstrates that discussion about preservationstrategies deserves new re-reading, then directed to digital repositories in accordance with OAIS.
